ANXIETY disorders can be a hugely disabling condition, that seriously affects sufferers day to day living.

Panic and Anxiety Attacks have a huge impact on the sufferers day to day life. Preventing the sufferer do many every day activities that many of us take for granted.

As a healer and coach , I began specialising in anxiety and stress over 13 years after studying stress management and healing for over 10 years. I was sadly seeing more and more clients neglected or given very little support by their GP's or medical profession.

Sadly most anxiety sufferers go for years, some decades, getting very little expert advice, support or treatment that they need. Leading to more anxiety and despair and further disabling patterns of behaviour.

Long term ANXIETY often leads to an array of physical, mental and emotional symptoms and conditions, reinforcing negative reoccuring patterns of behaviour and symptoms. Often reinforcing a belief that they will have to live with chronic anxiety for the rest of their lives. Constant long term anxiety, usually leaves the sufferer overwhelmed, exhausted, leading to poor self esteem, self worth and confidence issues.

Any treatment programme for anxiety should include the right education, support and advice. When we educate the client to understand the physiological element of their panic or anxiety attack, we empower them by taking the fear out of these often alarming and frightening symptoms. Helping the client understand their body;s response, helps the client accept, come to terms, to accept their symptoms, their feelings, the emotions that simply want attention, want to be released, not suppressed. Reducing and managing stress should be a major part of anxiety management, specifically relaxation therapy. This effectly and safely reduced the body from the "hyperarousal state" into the " relaxed response" a state of peace, calm, relaxation. A total holistic approach to anxiety treatment helps equip the client in various ways. It empowers the anxiety sufferer, with self help skills. Mindfulness or advanced meditation techniques that entrains the mind into a more to moment way of being, can have a huge impact on a clients way of life.

Other therapeutic approaches that help release and resolve trauma, helps the client let go of repressed emotions, old patterns of thinking or behaviour.
