5 Signs you’re out of Balance and How to Restore It
We all need Balance to remain Happy and Healthy, but so many people miss the very obvious signs that their body is showing the signs of an unbalanced lifestyle.
1. Overwhelmed.
When we feel overwhelmed by simple day to day activities or things that you normally take in your stride, you know you’re out of Balance. It it’s time to STOP, let go and let god. Meditation is a great way to help you step back and just be.
2. Can’t concentrate or Focus?
You’re mentally, physically and or emotionally out of Balance. SLOW DOWN… Breathe…take one step…one moment at a time.
3. Constantly rushing and find it difficult to manage your time?
When your priorities are out of Balance, you are more than likely over committing, trying to do everything for everyone whilst focusing in the future not on the present moment and task in hand. Learn highly effective stress and time management skills
4. Catastrophizing or Dramatizing?
When we are out of balance we are more likely to think and runaway with un-healthy thinking and distorted thoughts. Become the WITNESS of your thoughts, rather than the participant. Write down repeated thought patterns and worries then ask yourself honestly if you know for a fact these beliefs to be 100% true, could you prove this in a court of law. We all put so much energy into catastrophizing or dramatizing scenarios that never ever happen. CBT can be a very useful therapy to identify and let go of distorted thinking patterns.
5. Constantly Tired?
When you’re constantly tired, exhausted, you’re not replenishing your sleep and rest bank! Good Quality Sleep is vital to heal, repair and restore to balance the body’s natural homeostasis. Make sure you take proper tea and lunch breaks throughout the day. Most sleep problems today are caused by too much mental stimulation and stress, not physical exhaustion, so it’s important the body is encouraged to “switch off” regularly throughout the day, not just when you hit the pillow.
